Definition. Running TYPO3 on Kubernetes, typically with separate pods for frontend workers, backend, cron/scheduler, Solr/OpenSearch and caches (Valkey/Redis), shared storage for fileadmin (RWX-capable), an external database and a reverse proxy in front. Build and deployment run via container images with GitOps reconciliation.

Why it matters. TYPO3 on Kubernetes is not an end in itself. But as soon as scaling, high availability or orderly patching are required, it is much easier to manage than a classic web server. The details matter: session and lock strategy, filesystem synchronisation, image processing.
