Definition

Definition. Agent Readiness describes the state in which a platform, its content and its processes are prepared so that AI agents can work with them reliably and under control. Classic web content is optimised for human readers. Agent Readiness requires the same content to be machine-interpretable: through structured data, documented interfaces such as MCP and defined access rights.

Why it matters. Agent Readiness decides whether AI agents are useful at all. An agent-ready system lets agents retrieve information or, within clear limits, trigger actions. Otherwise they fail at inaccessible content. It is a property of the architecture, not a feature added later.

Related. AI-ready CMS, MCP, Structured Content, RAG
