Definition. Content modelled as clearly separated, typed building blocks (heading, lead, FAQ, person, product, …) instead of an unstructured rich-text blob in a WYSIWYG editor. Each block has a clear schema and can be reused, translated or delivered independently.
Why it matters. Structured content is the prerequisite for a platform to serve several output channels (website, AI retrieval, feeds, app, newsletter) without editorial rework each time. For mid-sized platforms it also lowers maintenance effort, independent of AI.
